roi of social media

It is quite obvious that the media landscape has shifted into peer to peer communications alongside traditional broadcast mediums. Many people and companies spend time trying to calculate the ROI of Twitter, Facebook, or general real life social meetings in order to validate if what they are doing is profitable. We like to step back and look at the bigger picture, fully ignoring the ROI of our social media usage as we do it in house, and rather enjoying the moments and relationships that are earned using those social media channels and on the ground. The lines between social media online and being social offline are blurred if your strategy is strong enough. What is the value of the hand shake and the time you spent with a potential client at a trade show? That really depends on your sincerity and the long-term strength of the business you are representing. Earning trust is more important to us then earning a quick sale, as we know down the road when the potential clients who we build relationships with are looking at HVAC servicing or upgrades, they will come back to us as a trusted source. At the heart to this is offering really truthful and honest feedback and recommendations to everyone we speak with. If we feel your HVAC equipment is in good standing order and functioning properly while we do our free in home assessment, we are not going to suggest you make an upgrade to Whirlpool. However we will explain the value of upgrading and the peace of mine it offers. At the end of the day it's a no pressure open minded approach to relationship building that will be the future of our company, and we look forward to each and every person that we meet along the way. Both in social media channels and on the ground at events and conferences. The inspiration for this article came from a post that we read on SEOmoz.org, when you have time you should check it out. It's a great read! The song we are going to select for this week is called 'Already There' by Sonreal, who is a Vancouver based artist who recently got this video on the Much Music Countdown.
